Program Overview

The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) Entrepreneur Stream is for foreign nationals who plan to come to Ontario, establish or buy a business, and actively manage it. Investment and job-creation thresholds are higher inside the Greater Toronto Area than outside it.

OINP entrepreneur applicants enter on a temporary work permit, must demonstrate active operation of the business per a Performance Agreement, and only then receive nomination toward permanent residence — making operator credibility, business viability, and an in-province presence essential.
