Program Overview
PEI's Work Permit Stream is the province's entrepreneur pathway: successful candidates first move to Prince Edward Island on a temporary work permit, establish or purchase a business, and actively manage it from within the province.
Applicants commit to a minimum eligible investment of $150,000, demonstrate a verified personal net worth of at least $600,000, and meet CLB 4 language ability plus post-secondary education requirements.
After operating the business under the performance agreement — typically for at least a year — candidates who meet their commitments receive the provincial nomination supporting a permanent-residence application.
